Day 1
Arrival and Welcome
Guests arrive in Valencia and transfer to their accommodation.
The remainder of the afternoon is free to settle in, rest, or explore the neighborhood at a relaxed pace.
In the evening, the group meets for a welcome gathering at a local venue. This informal introduction includes drinks, a short overview of the program, and an opportunity to meet fellow participants. Restaurant recommendations can be provided for those wishing to continue the evening with dinner.
Day 2
City Context & Studio Practice
Morning: Guided city walk with a licensed local guide
Midday: Lunch break (independent) & siesta
Afternoon: Ceramics workshop: coiling
technique, staining & glazing a prepared piece
Evening: Free time
Notes:
The guided walk provides cultural and visual inspiration from the city, while the afternoon session focuses on hands-on learning and material exploration in the studio.
Day 3
Architecture & Material Exploration
Morning: Guided creative walk through the Turia area, focusing on Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences and its modern architecture
Late Morning: Material gathering for afternoon studio work
Midday: Paella lunch in the old town & siesta
Afternoon: Ceramics workshop: slab construction, surface stamping using collected materials, jiggering and jolleying
Evening: Free time & Optional wine tasting
Notes:
The morning session is led as part of the ceramics program and centers on observation, discussion, and material awareness within the Turia landscape and the City of Arts and Sciences. The focus is on visual language, form, texture, and architectural rhythm as creative input for the studio. Collected materials are later used to create surface and construction techniques in the afternoon workshop.
An optional wine tasting is available in the evening for those who wish to take part. This activity is not included in the program fee and is offered at an additional cost.
Day 4
Ceramic Heritage & Surface Design
Morning: Inspiration walk focused on Valencia’s ceramic tile heritage, observing patterns, colours, and decorative details
Late Morning: Visit to a well-known horchata spot noted for its traditional tile decoration (tasting and visual inspiration)
Midday: Lunch break (independent) & siesta
Afternoon: Ceramics workshop: tile painting inspired by observed patterns and colour palettes
Evening: Free time
Notes:
The morning walk is led as part of the ceramics program and focuses on visual research rather than guided sightseeing. Attention is given to Valencia’s historic use of ceramic tiles, with participants gathering ideas around pattern, repetition, and colour. The horchata visit offers a moment to experience a local tradition while continuing the visual theme. These influences are then translated into the afternoon tile-painting session in the studio.

5 day progam
Price: 550 Euro (VAT/IVA incl.)
The 5-day program follows the same program structure and pace as the 4-day option for the first four days, delivering the full core experience. The additional day extends the journey with time by the beach and an extra studio session, offering fresh coastal inspiration and more hands-on ceramic work—an ideal way to round off your stay with one last creative chapter and a chance to soak up the sun before the journey home.
Day 5
Coastal Inspiration & Sculptural Form
Important Notices:
Morning: Inspiration walk through El Cabanyal, followed by time to relax by the beach
Midday: Lunch by the sea (independent) & siesta
Afternoon: Ceramics workshop of modelling, sculpting, and wheel throwing

The morning walk focuses on visual inspiration drawn from Cabanyal’s distinctive architecture, colour palette, and coastal atmosphere, followed by unstructured time at the beach. The afternoon studio session shifts toward three-dimensional form, introducing modelling, sculpting, and wheel throwing techniques with space for individual exploration and guidance. The evening remains open for rest or independent plans.
Arrival time: Please plan to arrive in Valencia by 4:00 PM on the first day to join the welcome session.
Departure planning: The final studio session will end by 7:00 PM at the latest, allowing time for late-night flights where available.
Finished pieces & shipping: As drying and firing take time, finished pieces will be shipped after the workshop for an additional cost, based on size, weight, and destination.
Receiving your work later ensures each piece is properly finished, carefully packed, and saves valuable space in your luggage.
